Virtual worlds are quickly rising in our society. There are various forms of virtual reality, from role playing games to training problems developed by programmers. In regards to mass-multiplayer online role playing games people could design their avatar and perform things that might be avaliable to do in real life. Avatars are basically the characters that a user can design in regards to clothing and actions. These avatars are used in these virtual worlds to communicate to others and create a community of gamers. Games like second life, allow a user to complete actions that they possibly wouldn't do in real life. The avatars could complete actions like dancing, partying, chatting, and etc. make his avatar fly or dress them to look like something out of this world. Some companies use second life to train their employees. With this training employees feel more comfortable because they can train and communite with their peers in their homes. Also in the medical field, there is rumors about having a program that allows a doctor to train with using these programs to practice certain surgey types or give them a background to certain situations. With these training programs there is a two sided debate with this, on one hand people could train easier in their field with a hands on view of situations, but on the other hand these programs may not be as accurate as it were in real life. Things that happen in life are unexpected and one could not determine the absolute outcome of situations. Therefore the "dark side"of these virtual realities could possibility create an unreal world, where people might adapt to their mindset. In the future, these virtual reality programs might evolve to the point where the user actually feels what is going on in these worlds. To be in the actual world might be the ideas of our future advancement in technology.
